Program Evaluation
Management will conduct an evaluation of the workplace to ensure the written Respiratory Protection Program is properly implemented and observed. Employees will also be consulted to determine if they have any problems with the program and to confirm that respirators are being used properly.
Recordkeeping
The Production, with the assistance of the Production Safety Consultant and a the PLHCP shall establish and retain the written information regarding medical evaluations, fit testing, and the respirator program. Records of medical evaluations must be retained and made available in compliance with 29 CFR 1910.1020 Access to Employee Exposure and Medical Records. Fit test records shall be retained for respirator users until the next fit test is administered. This information will facilitate employee involvement in the respirator program and assist the Production Safety Consultant in auditing the adequacy of the program.
