The Safety Program Director shall be responsible for the overall administration of the Lockout / Tagout Program and to ensure all aspects of the program are implemented by the Production when necessary.
Supervisory / Management
Department managers, supervisors, keys and foreman are responsible for:
- Ensuring that all Authorized Individuals involved in work requiring lockout/tagout are trained and comply with the procedures and controls required in this program.
- Ensuring that employees do not participate in work that requires lockout/tagout procedures unless they have been trained and are authorized to do so.Providing, utilizing and maintaining equipment required to work safely in and to ventilate a confined space.
- Ensuring that all employees working in the area are aware of lockout/tagout operations.
- Ensuring all employees comply with the provisions of this program.
Employees who have been trained in lockout/tagout procedures and all employees working in an area where lockout/tagout procedures are in place are responsible for adhering to the program and its requirements.
