Purpose
The Production has developed this Lockout / Tagout Program for the protection of our employees in the workplace. These measures have been developed to provide a means of controlling stored hazardous energy sources at production facilities and locations during service, set up, repair, cleaning, and maintenance activities when the unexpected release of energy could cause injury.
Scope & Application
The program has been developed to comply with the OSHA General Industry Standard for the control of hazardous energy (29 CFR 1910.147) and the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) General Industry Standard for the control of hazardous energy (Title 8 CCR 3314).
It is the responsibility of the Safety Program Director, production management, and supervisors to ensure that all applicable regulatory requirements and the details of this program are followed.
