Common Servicing Elements
Pre-Release files shall be created from the source that represents final locked picture, final color grade, final VFX, and final sound when possible. These files may be used as image/sound source for downstream creative assets (trailers, edits, promos, etc.). Please consult with the appropriate Netflix Post Production team to determine the required file format.
Pre-Release Asset Types
- Pre-QC: used for initial QC pass for image and sound technical and production-related purity
- Content Localization: used as picture and audio reference for transcription, translation and frame-accurate lock to final Printmaster and M&Es; for use in language dubbing, subtitle creation, and language dub/sub QC.
- PR / Viscomm
- Marketing: Partner marketing AV content
Precise file naming is not required, however descriptive details in the file name are helpful (ie. title, season, episode, frame rate, color space, date, version, etc.).
